Depending on your country of citizenship, you may need a visa together with a valid passport to visit Mozambique.

You should see your doctor 4 to 8 weeks before your trip to Mozambique in order to check if you needed any vaccinations or other kind of medication. Medical facilities in Mozambique are limited, and some medicines may be unavailable. Make sure you have travel health insurance that covers repatriation.

During your stay, drink only bottled water, avoid raw vegetables unless they can be washed thoroughly, and take the usual precautions against mosquitoes by using insect repellent.

Mozambique has a humid tropical climate, influenced by the Indian Ocean monsoons and the warm currents from the Mozambique Channel. Based on temperature and rainfall, the best time to visit Mozambique is during the dry season, that is, between May and September, when the weather is relatively cool and pleasant.
